Being a "Self Reliant"

Apparently, Ralph Waldo Emerson has a great advocate about his own thoughts, believing in God, accepting your situation, urging about your own ideas, and thinking about your choice is the good one within all the people around you.
So, basically as we can see the reactions of Emerson towards aspects of life, how would he react if he was in the judge’s place? In our developing world, we always seek for an easier life, for example “the internet”. The social media, which are created by people, devastates the children’s mind. The inappropriate stuff, like pictures, is found everywhere on the internet where everybody can see. In the other hand, Emerson would also hinder the idea of watching action movies for the children. There are lots of accidents happening about this aspect. Children, especially boys, watch action movies, for example: superman, the man who flies and save people. They took it as a fun like jumping from high places. Emerson had this advantage of always being one among others.
